Chiara Kim Bio

Chiara Kim is a recent graduate of the Medill School of Journalism, Media, Integrated Marketing Communications with minors in economics and French at Northwestern University. Passionate about using writing to create impactful and empowering stories, Chiara is particularly excited about and experienced in lifestyle and entertainment magazine journalism. She self-publishes her Substack featuring cultural analyses and personal narrative. Chiara most recently worked as an editorial intern at People Magazine, reporting on red carpets and writing countless stories, including two print articles! As a reporter for The Daily Northwestern throughout her college career, Chiara has written for the city, audio, campus, arts and entertainment, and opinion desks. She has gained editing experience as assistant opinion editor, development and recruitment editor, and assistant social media editor. Chiara currently freelances as a communications associate for Midnight Road Entertainment and as a script coverage intern for the HappyBad production company. Chiara was a rower on the Northwestern Crew team and was the team's recruitment chair and communications chair.
